Bollinger County Long Term Recovery Committee (LTRC) is comprised of local volunteers, faith-based and community organizations that join together. The LTRC identifies disaster-related unmet needs of individual's and households and coordinates the delivery of resources to help those affected. A LTRC is needed to help meet needs for survivors of a disaster when their personal resources, insurance and government grants/loans are not enough. Community Organizations Active in Disaster (COAD) is the larger umbrella that a LTRC is formed through. COADs bring together community and voluntary organizations active in disaster services in an effort to foster more effective response and recovery to the individuals of a jurisdiction in time of disaster.
